Disarming Hezbollah was already part of UN Resolution 1701, passed after the 2006 war.

It wasn't taken seriously and neither is the current ceasefire agreement, accepted by Israel after great pressure by the Biden administration.

Hezbollah will not disarm voluntarily but maybe a two front war, against Israel and the jihadists in Syria, will do the job.

Terrorists who spend a lot of time convincing themselves they're about to get their ticket to heaven through martyrdom are fundamentally at odds with anyone who wants to live and build a society. I hope the non-suicidal parts of the Lebanese government will find the strength to stand up to them.

They can’t be rearmed by Iran with the current regime in Syria. So I can see why they might not want to disarm.

I think this war is going to get wider and there isn’t an end in sight.

I keep wondering when they do to Iran what they did to Syria.

It appears that the Lebanese state and LAF are a sham. A real state, with a real military, would arrest and/or kill Hezbollah's members. Why are they failing to act?
