Lebanon can begin to prosper by prioritizing internal growth and development over conflict. This requires political reform to reduce sectarianism, curb corruption, and strengthen institutions, alongside economic diversification to rebuild infrastructure, support local businesses, and reduce reliance on foreign aid. Promoting social cohesion through education, addressing inequality, and empowering youth is essential, as is minimizing foreign interference and focusing on diplomatic neutrality. By leveraging its diaspora for investments and expertise, and learning from successful regional examples, Lebanon can create a stable and prosperous future built on unity and self-reliance.

For Aoun to rally against “Israeli aggression” because the “dislike of Israel” is the norm in Lebanon, makes him a Conformist rather than a true leader. “Dislike of Israel” is nothing short of Jew-hatred. Aoun’s talk of “state’s monopoly on arms” is no show of leadership and accountability; this is just wishful thinking for Nasrallah’s thugs to be good.
